UnCognito: a brand identity for AI voice authenticity

UnCognito operates in a category defined by complexity and skepticism. The requirement was clarity and credibility.

Identity system

The brief

UnCognito detects synthetic and manipulated voices. Its buyers are wary by default: they are being asked to trust a technology whose job is to tell them what not to trust.

The objective was an identity that could translate technical complexity, convey trust at first glance, and scale from an app icon to merchandise without losing its precision.

The approach

Exploration started on paper, testing forms that could suggest a voice signal without falling into the clichés of the category.

The chosen mark was refined into a set of lockups for light and dark backgrounds, then extended into a primary and secondary colour palette and a typographic hierarchy that keeps technical content readable.

The system was tested where the brand actually lives: as an iOS app mark, and on apparel worn by the team at events.
